If I spoke to you about Happy Mondays your mind probably shifts towards Shaun Ryder, Bez and that wonderful Manchester music scene in the 90s. And as much as I’d love to talk to you about those halcyon days at The Hacienda, right now probably isn’t the time for it.
But today should be a happy Monday for you, especially if you’re self-employed and your business has been adversely affected by the coronavirus because from today you can apply for the second grant from the government.
So if you’re self-employed or a member of a partnership and your business has taken a hit due to COVID-19 then you can make a claim today.
The process is relatively straightforward. Head over to the government website here. Have your Self Assessment Unique Taxpayer Reference, National Insurance number, Government Gateway ID and password and your bank details at the ready and you’re good to go.
You have up until 19th October 2020 to make the claim, so there’s a bit of time yet to get it sorted but the sooner you do it, the sooner your grant is paid into your bank account. The government reckons it’ll take up to six working days providing everything is ok with your claim.
