Baxi has introduced its own installation incentive programme in response to the introduction of the Government's £5 million Heat Pump Training Grant, coupling the Government vouchers with valuable Baxi Works points.
The Heat Training Grant provides grants of up to £500 towards approved courses, such as those provided by Baxi, to trainees in England who are enrolled in short training courses applicable to heat pumps and heat networks. Installers who get the Heat Training Grant will be eligible to receive 15,000 Baxi Works loyalty points, according to Baxi, an official partner of the government programme.
What’s on offer from Baxi?
For a limited time, Baxi will additionally provide trainees with free supervised commissioning of their first heat pump installation and extra free CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
Installers must successfully complete a Baxi Heat Pump Training Course at one of the company's training facilities in Warwick, Dartford, or Warrington as well as register a Baxi Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) through Baxi Works in order to qualify. After that, the points will be added to their account for them to use towards a variety of goods from the Baxi Works Reward Catalogue.
Baxi is part of BDR Thermea. The Group, which has been involved with heat pumps since the 1980s, plans to produce and market 600,000 heat pumps throughout Europe by 2025.

What Baxi are saying
Harriet Evans, Renewables Director at Baxi, said: “With the Government scheme now launched, our points offer is also live and installers can start to benefit from this great skills initiative. Heat pump demand can only grow, so this is an ideal time for installers to get fully trained and accredited for heat pumps and secure future income from the transition to clean heat in homes.”
Baxi has put together a comprehensive air source heat pump assistance package to familiarise installers with heat pump technology, and its own line of air source heat pumps as part of its support for low-carbon heating. The company provides assistance at every stage of the process, including nationwide commissioning, extended warranty options, training programmes that are eligible for the Heat Training Grant, bundled solutions that include heat pumps, cylinders, and control systems, and after-sales support.
Harriet added: “The Government has an ambitious target for heat pumps to play a major role in heat decarbonisation. As responsible heating experts, we are committed to giving installers all the support they need to make sure their instals deliver optimum performance, efficiency and energy savings for their customers. Creating the opportunity to receive 15,000 valuable Baxi Works points is our latest way of giving installers support to get comfortable with heat pumps and be part of the clean heat revolution.”
